Key Performance Characteristics
CORROSION RESISTANT
In addition to hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass has no chemical reaction with other acids. Its acid resistance is 30 times that of ceramic and 150 times that of stainless steel. Especially the chemical stability at low temperature, which cannot be compared with any other engineering materials.
GOOD THERMAL STABILITY
The thermal contraction coefficient of quartz glass can withstand severe temperature changes. Quartz glass heated to 1100℃ will not burst when placed in cold water.
GOOD LIGHT TRANSMISSION
Quartz glass has good transmittance in all spectral bands from purple to red. The visible light transmittance is above 93%, specially in the ultraviolet spectral region where the maximum transmittance is over 80%.
GOOD ELECTRICAL INSULATION
The resistance of quartz glass is 10,000 times that of ordinary materials and has good electrical performance even at low temperatures.
